Issue
When navigating through the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle user interface, most information is displayed in tables. The columns and the order that these columns are displayed may be modified under the Table Options > Columns tab (gear icon in the top right corner) for each table. There are times when you may want to restore these table views to their factory-set out-of-the-box (OOTB) defaults. This RSA Knowledge Base Article explains how to restore table views to their factory-set (OOTB) default settings.

Resolution
There are two options under the Table Options > Columns tab:
  • Reset to default column settings
  • Set current columns as default for all users
Either or both options may be selected. To restore a table view to its original factory-set (OOTB) defaults, check both options.

Here is how each option works in more detail:
  • Reset to default column settings
When this option is checked, the currently displayed table view is restored to the last known default. In addition, the list of available columns to display disappears.
  • Set current columns as default for all users
When this option is checked, the currently displayed table view is saved for all users and becomes the new default.
  • Both options
When both options are checked, the currently displayed table view is restored to the original factory-set  (OOTB) default settings.

The following example uses the users table (Users > Users) to illustrate the way these different options work:

  1. The OOTB users table has four columns:
  • Name
  • Department
  • Title
  • Supervisor

  1. Add two more columns (Email and User ID):

  1. Make this table view the default users table view for all users by checking Set current columns as default for all users.

This is now the default users table view stored in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle.
