The RSA MFA Agent 9.1 for UNIX, previously the RSA MFA Agent for PAM, is available for download from RSA Community here. RSA recommends upgrading to version 9.1 of the MFA Agent at the earliest opportunity.
This release introduces the following key features:
The RSA MFA PAM Agent is now renamed to RSA MFA Agent for UNIX.
For consistency with the naming convention used in RSA MFA Agents, the RSA MFA Agent for PAM is now renamed to RSA MFA Agent for UNIX.
Version 9.1 supports only RHEL and Ubuntu. Support for other UNIX flavors historically supported by the RSA MFA Agent for PAM will be reviewed and may be added in future releases.
The RSA MFA Agent for UNIX now supports passwordless authentication on RHEL and Ubuntu.
Local users can now sign in without a password, using Mobile Passkey, Device Biometrics, Authenticate OTP, or SecurID OTP.
