Issue
RSA MFA Agent for PAM upgrade failed from lower versions 8.x to version 9.0 with the error
"The RSA MFA Agent for PAM upgrade is not supported
 Aborting installation..."
Cause
As per the RSA MFA Agent for PAM - Platform Support Matrix, during the upgrade process. there are some prerequisites that are checked, one of them is that if the RSA MFA Agent for the PAM version is supported on the current Operating System (AIX, Oracle, RHEL,.....) or not.

For example:
If RSA MFA Agent for PAM 8.1.3 is deployed on Oracle Linux 7.9 (64-bit) Which is NOT SUPPORTED as shown below based on the RSA MFA Agent for PAM - Platform Support Matrix

The upgrade for RSA MFA Agent for PAM version 8.1.3 to 9.0 on Oracle Linux 8.7 will FAIL because RSA MFA Agent for PAM version 8.1.3 is not supported on Oracle Linux 8.7.
Resolution
1. Uninstall RSA MFA Agent for PAM version 8.x on the targeted operating system.
2. Install RSA MFA Agent for PAM version 9.0 on the targeted operating system. Make sure that the RSA MFA Agent for PAM version 9.0 is supported on this operating system from RSA MFA Agent for PAM - Platform Support Matrix
