Summary:

RSA is immediately shipping the RSA SecurID Hardware Appliance Model 130 and the Model 250 based on the Dell R230 PowerEdge and Dell R630 PowerEdge servers respectively. These new models deliver an increase in performance with no change in price.  Both the Model 130 (Dell R230-based) and Model 250 (Dell R630-based) include the Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC).  In AM 8.2 SP1, the iDRAC / RMM functionality replaces Factory Reset functionality and is supported for disaster recovery situations. 

In conjunction, RSA is announcing the End-Of-Sale (EOS) for the Intel®-based RSA SecurID Hardware Appliance Model 130 and the Model 250.  All Intel-based RSA SecurID Appliances will continue to be supported for 5-years from date of purchase.   All RSA SecurID hardware appliances include Advanced Hardware Replacement for Years 1-3.  Years 4 and 5 can be purchased separately.

Dell-based or Intel-based RSA SecurID Hardware Appliances are interchangeable within a RSA SecurID deployment as long as they are running the same RSA Authentication Manager release.
