Options when no OOTB or JDBC collector exists:
To collect data from end points for which no OOTB or JDBC collector exists there are several alternatives listed below. RSA recommended best practice is to collect from CSV files in this case.
1. Extract the data from the end point into a format for which an existing collector exists. Most commonly this is a CSV file but it could be an xml file or a database as well. This method typically consists of designing an extraction script which extracts the raw data from the endpoint and a transformation script which formats that data into a format such as a CSV from which data can be collected using an existing OOTB collector. I see no instructions to define a rest-based EDC for an end point for which there is no existing collector.
-- Please note the Aveksa collector end point is available for all collector types but I don't think it makes sense for anything but the ADC and EDC. Will question engineering on this.
