View Network Diagnostics on an Identity Router
View Network Diagnostics on an Identity Router
Using the Identity Router Setup Console, you can view diagnostic details for each of an identity router's network interfaces and configured DNS servers.
Before you begin
The identity router must be installed and configured to connect to resources on your network. For more information, see Deploying an Identity Router - Advanced Setup.
Procedure
- Open a web browser and do one of the following:
- For Amazon cloud-based identity routers, go to https://<identityrouterIP>:9786/setup.jsp, where <identityrouterIP> is the private IP address of the identity router.
- For VMware and Hyper-V identity routers, go to https://<identityrouterIP>/setup.jsp, where <identityrouterIP> is the IP address of the identity router management interface.
- Sign into the Identity Router Setup Console using the administrator credentials for this identity router. If this is your first time signing into the setup console for this identity router, see Change the Identity Router Administrator Password Using the Identity Router Setup Console.
- Click Diagnostics > View Network Diagnostics.
The Network Diagnostics page displays the message "Collecting network diagnostics..." for up to 20 seconds, then displays the following:- Date and time the network diagnostics were collected
- Details for each identity router network interface, including IP address, subnet mask, gateway, MAC address, and network link status
- Connection state for the secure connection to Cloud Access Service (CAS)
- DNS name resolution for each configured name server
- A subset of the routing tables on the identity router, including the default routing table and the routing table for each configured interface
Potential network issues (for example, an NTP service synchronization error) are displayed in red.
After you finish
For more detailed network information, including full routing tables, generate and download the log bundle for the identity router and view the file tmp/network_diagnostics.txt. For more information, see Troubleshooting Identity Router Issues.
