Issue
The installation of RSA Authentication Agent for Microsoft Windows failed due to the following error:
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component [AE56AAAF5-F3C0-3D4B-8859-A1e50A3E27BF}.
HRESULT: 0x80070BC9.
HRESULT: 0x80070BC9.
Cause
- The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile or later not installed.
- Old registry keys exist under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RSA.
Resolution
To resolve this issue,
- Verify that Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile or later is installed, as per RSA Authentication Agent 7.4 for Microsoft Windows Installation and Administration Guide
- Delete the old registry keys under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RSA, if found.
- Reboot the server.
- Try installing the agent again.
