Issue
The installation of RSA Authentication Agent for Microsoft Windows failed due to the following error:
 
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component [AE56AAAF5-F3C0-3D4B-8859-A1e50A3E27BF}.
HRESULT: 0x80070BC9.

Cause
This error occurs because:
  •  The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile or later not installed.
  • Old registry keys exist under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RSA.
Resolution
To resolve this issue,
  1. Verify that Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile or later is installed, as per RSA Authentication Agent 7.4 for Microsoft Windows Installation and Administration Guide or the RSA Authentication Agent 7.3.3 for Microsoft Windows Installation and Administration Guide.
  2. Delete the old registry keys under \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RSA, if found.
  3. Reboot the server.
  4. Try installing the agent again.
