Workflow error: The work item count of XX exceeds the maximum limit of 10 in RSA RSA Via Lifecycle and Governance

Issue
A change request gets cancelled or goes into an error state. There is an error in one of the nodes inside the workflow that states following:
 
This Job is in error state.  The latest error text is 'Error Completing WorkItem:  
The work item count of <item count> exceeds the maximum limit of 10 for job <job number>:WPDS node <node number>:WPDS

 
Cause
Recent updates to the workflow engine changed the default item limit to ten. Prior to this version of the workflow engine, the default behavior had been unlimited. This basically means that there cannot be more that ten items in a Workflow list such as an approver list, email to: list, etc. 

 
Resolution
This issue has been resolved in the following versions which sets the functionality back the prior behavior of unlimited:
  • 6.8.1 P25
  • 6.9.1 P17 or higher
  • 7.0.0 P05 or higher
  • 7.0.1 or higher


 
Workaround
There is a workaround which requires an internal table update. Please contact RSA Support for more information on this.
