Resolution
1.1. Double-click on the certificate file (a .der, .cer or .p7b, etc file) from the Windows NT Explorer to start the "Certificate Manager Import Wizard".
1.2. Click "Install Certificate". The wizard will ask you to select a certificate store in which you would like to store the certificate.
1.3. Select "Place all certificates into the following store" option and click the "Browse" button to identify the store in which you will save and store the certificate. In this case of storing someone else?s certificate, choose the "Other People" option. Click "OK".
1.4. Click Next, and then click Finish.
-----
If the "Other People" option is not available during step 1.3, you can use the "Address Book" in Outlook or Outlook Express to initialize it. Follow the steps below to do so:
2.1. Select Tools/Address Book from Outlook or Outlook Express.
2.2. Create a new contact in the Address Book
Note: this new contact can be a fake one and it can be deleted afterwards.
2.3. Choose Digital IDs tab for that new contact
2.4. Import a certificate file (this can be a fake one also) for that new contact.
2.5. Follow steps 1.1 to 1.3, and you will find the "Other People" store option available during the "Select Certificate Store" process.
