The machine is resolving to its hostname "127.0.0.1" due to the configuration of the host file.
Issue
Initial configuration of a PAM agent on a Linux system
Initial Authentication Fails with "access denied"
Authentication Manager log shows "passcode incorrect"
DNS name resolution appears to be fine.
Hosts file on PAM machine contains loopback as IP
Resolution
Change the hosts file an entry for the actual IP to map to the hostname assigned to the PAM machine (as it is in the agent host entry for the PAM machine).
(NOTE: An alternate solution is to designate the IP address on the Linux agent by using the 'sdopts.rec' file. See solution  How to set an IP address override for an RSA ACE/Agent and RSA Authentication Agent. This solution would not require chaning the Linux box's hosts file)
