Issue
DBSM: application unable to connect to DB after vdsusr changed to non-expiring
Resolution

Try this first:

? Go to command prompt.

? Go to the directory where the VDSDB2LinMeta Service is copied.

? Type VDSDB2LINMetaService and press enter

? Choose option 1; enter Username (VDSUSR) and password. It will automatically create/modify the configuration file and shows message "Configuration File created successfully".

? Choose option 2 for stating the VDSDB2LINMetaService. A message appears as "VDSDB2MetaService Service has started".

For more information please refer to the Prerequisite 4: Deploying DB2 cipher service section under Deployment Prerequisites head in Adapter?s Guide of DB2

If that doesn't work:

? Click on Configured Adapter.

? Click on Adapter Configuration button.

? Click on Recover Adapter in Adapter Configuration window and follow the wizard.
