Issue

Error: "loadraddb: General Warning. Attempt to execute utility by invalid user."
Cannot run sdsetup -radius

Cause

To enable RADIUS with the sdsetup -radius command, you must execute as root. However, root MUST be defined in the ACE database as a 'Realm Administrator'.

Resolution

Out of the ACE/prog directory, run sdadmin. User > Add User > Define root. Then Edit User > Administrative Role and define root as a realm administrator as opposed to a regular user.
