RSA Key Manager C Client 2.5.0.2
Issue
The file size of test_appreg.cfg in the following path is 0 bytes:
/opt/rsa/rkm-client/RSA_Key_Manager_Client/2.5.0.2/rhas40/samples/config/test_appreg.cfg
Disk space usage for /opt partition may be 100% (no free disk space)
Resolution
If RKM Appliance 2.7 SP1 is already at patch level 2.7.1.5 or later, confirm that there is enough disk space available. If disk space usage for opt partition is 100%, it can cause many problems including corruption of healthcheck related test_appreg.cfg configuration file. For more information on how to clear up disk space, see solution "How to clear Oracle archivelog files (and other) to regain disk space on a DPM appliance?".
The following steps can be taken to reset test_appreg.cfg that went 0 bytes:
1. Stop Apache/httpd server using the following command at shell prompt, to ensure that loadbalancers/monitors do not invoke healthCheck while the configuration file is being updated:
service httpd stop
2. Update or create /opt/rsa/rkm-client/RSA_Key_Manager_Client/2.5.0.2/rhas40/samples/config/test_appreg.cfg with a new unique name for client.app_name (update date/time), ensure that other parameters are set exactly as shown below, and save the changes:
client.app_name = RKMDemorkm.appliance.net2011:09:23:13:13:13
client.actmgmt_enable = 0
client.registration_state = 0
client.actmgmt_poll_interval = 0
3. Update permissions on test_appreg.cfg using the command as follows:
chmod 777 /opt/rsa/rkm-client/RSA_Key_Manager_Client/2.5.0.2/rhas40/samples/config/test_appreg.cfg
4. Start Apache/httpd server:
service httpd start
5. HealthCheck should be successful and error 10017 should no longer occur. Contents of test_appreg.cfg should also get updated.
