The current situation is the node secret on our servers cannot be extracted and we cannot determine why as the client is able to extract the node secret. If the node secret is configured then FreeRadius RLM_SECURID fails to work. Here are my questions for support from RSA: Can they assist with the issue of node secret extraction on the Linux platform. What are the security implications if we do not use the node secret when using a TCP SecurID connection for the Rlm_securid module?

I just recently upgraded RSA from 8.5.5 to version 8.6.2.
Our Cisco Switches and Routers connect to Cisco ISE using TACACS. From there ISE communicates to RSA over port UDP/5500
Since the upgrade, logging into the switches no longer work - we get access denied on the switch. RSA reporting sees it as a successful authentication as does ISE.
IT says TACACS is no longer supported in RSA 8.6.0. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue and what did you do for a workaround? TACACS not being supported sounds like the cause of this issue?
