Rick Lalonde‌ and JOHN MILLER‌,

Please review 000029524 - Using the RSA Authentication Manager Migration Assessment Utility to upgrade from RSA Authentication Manager…

I updated the article and the links to the RSA Authentication Manager Migration Assessment Utility a few minutes ago, so it's hot off the presses.

I'll let our tech pub team know that the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 to 8.1 Migration Guide that you referenced needs to be editing so the current URL listed is changed to the one above.

Regards,

Erica

Rick Lalonde‌,

If you are migrating from Authentication Manager 6.1 to 8.1, you do not need the RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 Migration Export Utility.  That is only for migrations from 7.1 to 8.1.

In the RSA Authentication Manager 8.1.1 Extras zip there is a directory called RSA Authentication Manager 6.x RADIUS Export Utility which you only need if you are migrating RADIUS data from 6.1 to 8.1.  Are you doing such a migration?  Note that if you only have a handful of RADIUS clients, it can be easier just to open the Security Console, navigate to RADIUS > RADIUS Clients > Add New and manually recreate them.

For your migration, refer to the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 to 8.1 Migration Guide.

Please note that there is no direct migration from version 6.1 to 8.2.  You will need to first setup an 8.1 primary then upgrade that server from 8.1 to 8.2.

Regards,

Erica

HI, it looks like he was asking about the Migration Assessment Utility, not export utility. Here is the reference to to it from the migration guide:

"You can download the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 to 8.1 Migration Assessment
Utility and the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 to 8.1 Migration Preparation Guide
from SecurCare Online. Download the file at
https://knowledge.rsasecurity.com/scolcms/set.aspx?id=9620."

Is this assessment tool still available somewhere?

Thank you,

John
