Issue
How to uninstall RSA ACE/Server Patch 16
After uncompressing the "uninstall.3.3.16.tar" file to uninstall patch 16, the ACE/Server Administrator is unable to execute sdadmin, sdlogmon, etc... from /ace/prog.
ACE/Server Administrator gets a "cannot execute" message.
Cause
Permissions on files in "uninstall.3.3.16.tar" have been left with "root" ownership. Users other than root (even the ACE Administrator) will not be able to execute these files.
Resolution
Run "sdsetup -config" after uncompressing the uninstall file, entering the ACE File owner when asked. This will reset correct file permissions and ownerships.
