Thank you. I saw that but I didn’t think it was the actual service pack.
I installed the old one and it did not like it at all. I had to restore my snapshot and resync the replicas.
      Thanks again.

      • @Styx1970 (Customer) (love the name, btw 😊 ),

If you ran into an issue upgrading Authentication Manager, be sure to grab the troubleshooting logs. We can assist you in reviewing them to see why the upgrade failed.

Thanks, that was given to me (with the spelling (-1970) in my biker ministry because I am a drummer. I wasn’t sure if they were referring to the band or the river. 😐 (I say the band…they are pretty good still)

Back to RSA, I found that the release of 8.7 SP 2 that I had, has a bug in it. I was able to download the new version, build 1437860, and was going to try installing that today.
Yesterday, I tried a couple of fixes to get the system to boot and ended up reverting my snapshot and having to resync the 3 replicas. I thought I copied the logs but was interrupted for a meeting at the same time. I have to search a bit to see if I can find them, I started a search on “Failure” and there were quite a few that I was going through.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
        Thank you for your response.

I've been struggling horribly. If it isn't one thing, it's another. rsaadmin doesn't have permission to change a file, no SUPERUSER_NAME and No SUPERUSER_PASSWORD...after I even ran the commands to put them there. I've probably failed 20 times upgrading to SP2. If they weren't virtual machines, I'd perform a stair test I believe.

    • @Styx1970 (Customer) ,

No stair testing! It may damage the stairs.

Were you able to install 8.7 SP2 on your servers?

You wrote that your rsaadmin user does not have permission to change a file. What file?

Can you access the Security Console as any super admin user? We have information on how to crate a temporary admin user that can reset passwords for the Security Console admin and Ops Console admins. If you also need to reset the rsaadmin password, we can assist with that too, but that would involve a call.

No, I was not able to install 8.7 SP2.
After a snapshot revert and sync of replicas, admins cannot login.
Reverting another earlier snapshot and praying…

I’m getting ready to attempt the upgrade again now. I’ll reply with an update. I’ve gone through my checklists…new snapshots of course after one or two fixes have been made. Let it burn in a bit. So here I go!
        Talk soon.
