Issue Summary

After fresh install of RSA G&L version 8.0.0 P02 followed by 8.0.0 P08, we encountered an issue with the Local AFX service. The AFX service could not be started, stopped, or checked using the standard commands executed with sh, and the following error appeared:

syntax error near unexpected token `>'

Investigation Findings

• The issue started after applying Patch 8.0.0 P08.
• The AFX_server.log file had not logged any updates since April 20 (before patch installation).
• The behavior was identified as a known issue related to script execution using sh.

Issue on AFX main server is resolved. When we install AFX in standalone server, same issue happens. As RSA team mentioned it's a known issue, can we have the KB article related to this issue? Every time going via support call is taking long time to resolve.

Again this is happening on fresh install and not in upgrade.
