Issue
When uploading an image file in the User Interface via Admin > UI > Files > Images, the following error occurs and the file is not uploaded. The full error message is shown below where the file name being uploaded is called logo-main.png.

File Name:<file_name>: Invalid Content Type

User-added image
Cause
RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle is interpreting the format of the file as text rather than an image. This is the Content Type.  This occurs because either the shared-mime-info Operating System package is missing or one of the basic mime-types that comes with this package is missing.

Resolution
This issue has been reported to engineering, however a permanent resolution has not yet been determined. Please use the workaround outlined below.

Workaround
Disable the content check:
  1.   As the root user, copy the attached png-def.xml file to /usr/share/mime/packages.
  2.   As the root user, run the following command:
sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
  1.   Note the image file(s) may now be uploaded into RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle without error.
