Invalid filename message when uploading an attachment to a Request Form in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle

Issue
When running a Request Form in RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle that has a field of Control Type Attachments, the upload of the attachment displays the following error and the attachment is not uploaded. In the user interface go to Requests > Configuration > Request Forms tab > {Request Form name} > Fields > Run Form.
 
 Invalid filename.

In the example, below an attempt is made to upload a file called RF Doc.txt.

When the Upload Attachment button is pressed, the upload fails and the attachment is removed from selection.

Cause
This error occurs when the filename of the attachment that is being uploaded contains spaces.
 
Resolution
This issue is resolved in the following RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle versions and/or patch levels:
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.0 P09
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.1.1 P03
  • RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 7.2

 
Workaround
As a workaround, rename the file to a filename that contains no spaces. In the example below, the filename RF Doc.txt was modified to RF_Doc.txt and the upload succeeds.
