Disaster Recovery Situations
Perform these tasks following an administrator error, or if the system becomes unavailable, for example, because of hardware failure or a problem with network connectivity.
Situation | Action | Reference |
You deleted the only Super Admin. | Create a new Super Admin. | |
No administrators are assigned the Super Admin role. | Assign the Super Admin role to an administrator. | |
The primary instance hardware has failed. Either the hardware appliance has failed, or the hardware that hosts the virtual appliance has failed. | Promote a replica instance to a primary instance. | |
You do not have a working replica instance, or both the primary and replica instances failed. | Deploy a new appliance, and restore the primary instance using a backup. |
