RSA Announces the March 2021 Release of RSA SecurID Access

The March 2021 release of RSA SecurID Access contains the following features.

 

Administrators Can Initiate User On-Boarding with Enhanced Just-in-Time Synchronization

In the Cloud Authentication Service, administrators can initiate user on-boarding with enhanced just-in-time synchronization. This enables administrators to on-board users without waiting for the daily identity source synchronization job to run.

 

New REST API Identifies Anomalous Users 

A new Cloud Administration REST API can provide your identity, security operations, and incident response teams with visibility into users who exhibit anomalous behavior in your organization based on users’ access patterns. Your teams’ ability to query through this API provides rich identity context for detection (threat hunting), remediation, or forensics exercises.

New Fixes for Customer-Reported Issues for RSA Authentication Agent 2.0.2 for Citrix StoreFront

RSA announces the release of the RSA Authentication Agent 2.0.2 for Citrix StoreFront. For more information, see the Release Notes.

 

New Platform Support for RSA Authentication Agent 8.0.5 for Web for IIS and Apache Web Servers  

RSA announces the release of RSA Authentication Agent 8.0.5 for Web:

  

Web Agent 8.0.5 for Web for Apache Web Server adds support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.0 (64-bit) and 8.1 (64-bit) with Apache 2.4.x.

 

New and Updated Third-Party Integrations from RSA Ready

The following integrations were recently completed by RSA or certified by RSA through the RSA Ready Technology Partner Program.

  • F5 Networks - Big-IP Access Policy Manager (update Implementation Guide updated to include RSA as step-up authentication using SAML.
  • GoTrustID - GoTrust Authenticator (new FIDO keys tested with the Cloud Authentication Service.
  • Microsoft - Sentinel (new Use the Cloud Administration High-Risk User List API (requires Premium License) to add or remove users from a high-risk user list where Microsoft Sentinel is the source.   
  • Salesforce (update) – Implementation Guide updated to account for API Name field.
  • Splunk - Splunk Enterprise (new) – Using REST APIs, Splunk Add-On is able to ingest logs from the Cloud Authentication Service.
  • Support for RSA Authentication Manager 8.5 on ESXi-7 – Setup and Configuration Guide for Authentication Manager 8.5, Getting Started Guide for Authentication Manager 8.5 for VMware Virtual Appliance.
  • Support for Authentication Manager 8.5 on Hyper-V 2019 - Setup and Configuration Guide for Authentication Manager 8.5, Getting Started Guide for Authentication Manager 8.5 for Hyper-V Virtual Appliance.

In the next few months, RSA SecurID Access plans to release the following features.

 

Passwordless Authentication 

With the MFA Windows Agent, users will be able to sign in to their computers without a password, using only a FIDO2-Certified security key as a primary factor. This modern passwordless sign-in experience enables your dynamic workforce to be more productive, while protecting your critical resources, wherever the user may be.

 

New SecurID Unified Mobile App

RSA SecurID Token app users and RSA SecurID Authenticate app users will be able to easily migrate to SecurID, a unified iOS or Android authenticator app that offers the same provisioning and authentication experience regardless of the backend deployment type seamlessly.

 

RSA SecurID Access is on Track for FedRAMP Authorization

The Federal Risk and Management Program’s Joint Authorization Board (FedRAMP JAB) announced it is prioritizing RSA SecurID Access for a slot to work with the JAB to achieve a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO). By prioritizing RSA SecurID Access, the JAB – the primary governance and decision-making body for FedRAMP, consisting of the CIOs from the Department of Homeland Security, General Services Administration, and Department of Defense – signals that RSA is on its way to secure access for federal agencies and public sector organizations in the cloud.
