The April 2021 release of RSA SecurID Access contains the following features.
RSA to Enforce TLS 1.2 for all Cloud Authentication Service Connections Beginning May 15, 2021
RSA will enforce TLS 1.2 for all Cloud Authentication Service connections beginning on May 15, 2021. If you have not updated your connections to TLS 1.2, you must do so immediately to ensure uninterrupted connectivity. For details, see this advisory.
Passwordless Authentication Through MFA Agent 2.1 for Microsoft Windows
A modern, passwordless sign-in experience enables the dynamic workforce to be more productive while protecting the organization’s critical data wherever the user may be. This update to the Windows agent enables passwordless authentication to Windows 10 laptops and desktops using a FIDO2 security key with a USB connector for both online and offline authentication. RSA also has released version 2.0.3 of the existing 2.0.x agent that resolves a number of customer-reported issues.

An all-new card-style user interface--designed for improved usability and greater accessibility—will make it easier than ever for iOS and Android users to manage multiple tokens, generate tokencodes, and view token information all in one place. The new SecurID app will be an upgrade from the existing RSA SecurID Software Token app.
Develop Custom Apps with the New Mobile SDK
Your organization will be able to develop its own custom mobile app with full control over the user experience, including the app look and feel, to provide users with secure and seamless authentication. The SDK will support passwordless sign-in, as well as a single identity backplane for enterprise and consumer use cases.
Cloud-Managed SecurID 700 Tokens
Unleash the full potential of the cloud authentication platform with native support for SID700 hardware tokens in the Cloud Authentication Service to meet specific regulatory, security, and business requirements. An Authentication Manager deployment is not required.
RSA SecurID Access is on Track for FedRAMP Authorization
The Federal Risk and Management Program’s Joint Authorization Board (FedRAMP JAB) announced it is prioritizing RSA SecurID Access for a slot to work with the JAB to achieve a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO). By prioritizing RSA SecurID Access, the JAB – the primary governance and decision-making body for FedRAMP, consisting of the CIOs from the Department of Homeland Security, General Services Administration, and Department of Defense – signals that RSA is on its way to securing access for federal agencies and public sector organizations in the cloud.
