Issue
RSA SureFile has problems opening a SureFile-zipped *.ZIP file
Error: "Unable to open specified file. Don't have sufficient information to open file or reading, or the file may be damaged." while opening .ZIP file in RSA SureFile
WinZip or any other compression software has problems decompressing a SureFile-compressed file. WinZip reports error "this file is not in the standard Zip 2.0 format".
Cause
Microsoft Outlook messaging and collaboration client integration provides automatic compression and security for email attachments, reducing costs of network bandwidth and storage requirements. Unlike S/MIME or proprietary security technologies, RSA SureFile software is engineered to enable anyone receiving an RSA SureFile-encrypted email attachment to easily decompress and decrypt the file using RSA SureFile software, PKZIP, or the recently announced no-cost PKZIP Reader. In addition, RSA SureFile software?s secure data container provides persistent security, keeping the encrypted document safely inside the RSA SureFile archive
Resolution
There are 3 things you may do to correct this problem:

1. Advise the customer to go to http://www.pkzip.com/reader and download and install the PKZIP reader to unpack the file

2. Install RSA SureFile on the workstation on which you wish to unpack the *.ZIP file

3. Recreate the *.ZIP file as a self-extracting executable
